FTP Development | 25x60s

This is a great workout for building up your FTP. A typical FTP test is 20 minutes where the first 10 minutes isn’t so bad and the last 10 minutes feels like borderline torture. This workout helps us prepare for that by building up from our current threshold into our V02 max. This is best used for people focusing purely on FTP or someone training for a 5k or 10k and wanting to do a bit of cross training at a higher intensity. Setting a new FTP after a few weeks of training usually takes a 20 minute test where you’re able to hold 107% of FTP+, so this workout is used at the beginning of the FTP Development program to help prepare us physically and mentally for what’s to come.
